Jr. Cougars Undefeated in 9 Games!
This past weekend saw the Jr. Cougars extend their undefeated streak to 9 games. During our recent incredible hot stretch we have 7 wins and 2 ties while scoring 46 goals (5.11 per game) and allowing only 18 against (2.00 GAA). Truly amazing statistics!!!
Friday night saw many local spectators take in the battle of Burlington between the Jr. Cougars and Bulldogs. After a tight first two periods we broke the game open in the third period. Final score 5-1. Brodie Sixsmith lead the way with a hat trick while Jacob Black and Caden Paquette rounded out the scoring. Devon Bennewies also added two assists in the victory.
On Saturday we traveled to London to face the Mustangs (purple). Despite being short handed the Jr. Cougars carried most of the play but could not put enough pucks past a hot Mustang goalie. Liam Keogh and Jacob Black each notched a goal in the 2-2 tie. A shout out to our big four on the back end for a great game, Deacon, Kim, Ryerson and Stack!
CAUTION: Cougar Spotted!! For those in attendance at recent practices, the Jr. Cougar with the mightiest roar was seen on the ice! All players are pumped and excited to see Vinny De Simone back with the team running through drills.
