2018 Nation's Cup Detroit Champions!!
Congratulations to
our 2007 Burlington Jr Cougars T1 Blue and head coach Darryl Sinclair for
pulling out the final win for Canada to take home the Nation's Cup Gold! It was a well fought weekend with our Cougars
going 5-0-0.
Friday morning started with a well deserved 8-4 win against the Chicago Bruins followed by a 4-2 win against the Steel City Renegades White.
Saturday brought our boys to a 4-0 win against the Columbus Bluejackets and with Michael Murphy leading his team the boys pulled off a crushing 7-2 win against Canton Victory Honda Black, putting our Jr Cougars in first place moving into Sunday’s finals.
Sunday brought several well fought battles for all our Canadian teams but left our 07 Cougars needing the win to bring home the Nations Cup. Our boys came out strong and with Ethan Pascoe leading his team with his second shutout of the weekend our Cougars pulled out an extremely physical and aggressive 2-0 win against the Cincinnati Swords, bringing home the Nation’s Cup to all 5 Team Canada teams.
Congratulations Cougars and all the other Canadian teams! All our kids made us all extremely proud to be a Canadian this weekend.
