What an incredible weekend for our players as
they won the inaugural Jr. Cougars Early Bird Tournament. This weekend
exemplified the team motto for the season, “Bring the HEAT (Heart, Effort,
Attitude, and Teamwork).”
As the tournament progressed so did the
team. Goalies were making great timely saves, defense fended off opponents and
forwards were filling the net with goals. When the final buzzer sounded our Jr.
Cougars went undefeated in 5 games scoring 20 goals while only giving up 9.
The coaching staff was impressed with the team
cohesiveness on and off the ice. It’s amazing to see many new and current
friendships bond and work together, toward, then achieve a common goal,
tournament champs!!
It was incredible to watch the boys rejoice
in the change room spraying their water bottles (not champagne) in celebration,
then drink from the cup!!!
It was fantastic to be a part of the first
of many great moments this season!!!
