BLOMHA Partnership with Jr. Cougars Hockey

BURLINGTON, ON - Rick Dawson, Executive Director of BLOMHA and Dave Conacher, President of Jr. Cougars Hockey are pleased to announce a partnership between their minor hockey organizations that will consolidate hockey in Burlington providing a fully integrated minor hockey program in the city.

“We are extremely excited to be partnering with BLOMHA, the oldest and largest minor hockey organization in Burlington. Our new partnership will provide every player playing hockey in Burlington a tremendous opportunity to reach their hockey goals. From The Initiation Program to House League to Rep to Prep to Junior A, there will be a clear pathway and unlimited development opportunities for young hockey players to achieve their hockey dreams” says Conacher.


“BLOMHA is excited to be partnering with Jr. Cougars Hockey. This partnership will ensure that all of our Burlington players will have the best opportunity to develop and progress,” added Dawson.




·         Building a strong hockey footprint in Burlington with the overall goal of streamlining the progression of youth hockey in the city

·         Jr. Cougars and Bulldogs coach selection process will be done jointly

·         BLOMHA will be the leader in all Minor Hockey MD, House League, Select and High School programs

·         Jr. Cougars will continue to advance and lead all Youth Rep AA & A Hockey initiatives in Burlington

·         Joint Initiation Program focusing on the future of our youngest players. Burlington Bulldogs will deliver game play, while Jr. Cougars will provide all training & development for Initiation Program players ages 4 through 6.

·         Bulldogs MD Teams will use Jr. Cougars Hockey facilities for the training and development of their players
