JR. RAIDERS CALL FOR COACHES FOR 2025-26, News (Raiders Hockey Club)

Attention hockey coaches.   Are you passionate about coaching hockey at the Rep level and helping young players improve their skills and learn the game?  The Burlington Jr. Raiders are now accepting coaching applications for the 2025-26 season.  We are looking for experienced leaders to promote player development while putting together a team that is successful on the ice.  Applications are being accepted for U8 & U9 MD coaches and U10 – U16 BB/B & AA/A.

What we look for:

·         The ability to lead a team of young players.

·         Coaches who are there to teach the game and are willing to take the time to work with players as both individuals and as part of a team.

·         Understand that the season is a journey and where the team finishes is vastly different from where it started.

·         Embrace the Jr. Raiders’ philosophy of player development, including individual, team and game skills.

·         Your coaching style and approach.

·         Your typical practice plan for the season.

The Jr. Raiders program for 2025-26 will consist of:

·         3 – 5 hours of practice ice per week, split among coach led-practices and skills development training led by our professional instructors Cory Conacher, Nick Rotondi and Dino Felicetti.

·         Bi-Weekly Shooter Pad for Players (Shooter Pad)

·         Bi-Weekly Goalie Instruction (Shooter Pad)

·         1 hour of coach-led video/week in one of our party rooms

·         1 hour of LTS dryland training per week

·         Hat/T-Shirt/Shorts

·         Monthly Hockey Night In Burlington Game Nights (Saturday Nights), featuring the National Anthem, goal and penalty announcements, and more.

·         Full Year Schedule (excluding games) by mid-July

·         2 team fundraisers per season hosted by The Raiders Den in our party room

·         Raiders teams get 1^st opportunity to book last-minute available ice at minimum 40% off during the season.

·         20% discount on Conacher Hockey skills clinics and camps, exclusive to Raiders families.
