Kitchener Oktoberfest Tournament Finalist
Congratulations to the 2008 Jr Cougars Tier 1 White who were Finalists at the Kitchener Oktoberfest AAA tournament.
After 4 round robin games the Cougars finished in 4th place out of 18 teams setting them up for a Quarterfinal game bright and early vs. Hamilton Huskies. The boys fought hard leading them to a 3-1 win which would move them into the Semi-Finals against the #1 ranked team in the tournament, the Waterloo Wolves. With some fantastic passing, skating and goaltending the boys secured their spot in the finals winning 4-2.
The Championship would be a great rematch between the Huron Perth Lakers and the Cougars. The game did not disappoint, as it was a well played game by both teams, with plenty of back and forth action. In the end, the Huron Perth Lakers came away with a 3-1 win. Congratulations to the team on another great showing and the entire staff.
