2008 Blue T1, 2018-2019, Jr Cougars (Raiders Hockey Club)

The Jr. Cougars Atom Tier 1 Blue wrapped up its season with the March Meltdown Tournament in Toronto (March 29-31). As with every tournament this year the Cougars did not disappoint. Our boys fought and clawed there way through the round robin finishing with 2 wins, 1 loss, and 1 tie record (enough to make it to championship Sunday).

Ironically named the “Winter Challenge” parents and players had many challenges this weekend. Parents anxiously anticipated treacherous driving conditions due to winter storm warnings while players were challenging themselves for their “third” consecutive tournament win.

The Atom Tier 1 Blue received a late Christmas present this week winning the Wayne Gretzky International Tournament in record breaking fashion.

'Twas the night before Christmas when all through the leagues, Not a player was stirring, not even Bennewies. The jerseys were hung in their lockers with care, In hopes that a Brantford Championship would soon be there.

This past weekend saw the Jr. Cougars extend their undefeated streak to 9 games. During our recent incredible hot stretch we have 7 wins and 2 ties while scoring 46 goals (5.11 per game) and allowing only 18 against (2.00 GAA). Truly amazing statistics!!!
