2018 Silver Stick Qualifier Tournament Champs!
Congratulations to
our 2007 Burlington Jr Cougars T1 Blue and Head Coach Darryl Sinclair for
winning the 2018 Silver Stick Qualifier Tournament this weekend in Stratford
Ontario. Our Jr Cougars will now move on
to the 2018-2019 International Silver Stick Finals in Newmarket from January
10th - 13th, 2019.
Our Jr Cougars played hard this weekend with a well fought 5-4 win Friday morning against the Streetsville Tigers followed by a heart breaking 2-1 loss with 4.0 seconds left against the Stratford Warriors.
Saturday came with another well fought battle that ended in a 1-1 tie against the Burlington Eagles Gold. Saturday afternoon in our semi final game our Jr Cougars came out with a vengeance and crushed the Streetsville Tigers in a 10-1 win moving them to the Championship game on Sunday against the Stratford Warriors.
Sunday’s championship game was another hard well fought 1-1 battle that took us into overtime where we scored from the point to give the Cougars a 2-1 Championship win!
