Coaching staff, parents, and players were excited to see an extra advisor on the bench this weekend. Vinny, the enthusiastic injured Jr. Cougars forward provided the coaching staff and team with lots of positive energy. Being a few players down the team eagerly awaits his return to the lineup.
Despite a late third period surge the Jr. Cougars could not make one of their trademark heroic come backs and fell short in a 3-1 loss to the Woodstock Jr. Navy Vets. The only Jr. Cougar goal saw Jaiden Simmons continue his hot streak burying home a rebound off a flurry of shots by Tanner Deacon and Jacob Black.
Jr. Cougars puck of the game went to Ethan Zunti for holding down the fort against the Vets on numerous occasions.
Only the keen observer saw some of the best moves of the afternoon. Not to be out done by the play of Zunti,
back-up goalie Ben Hepburn stole the show between periods with his dance moves including the floss.
